Chamber music at the idyllic Whitsun Festival - Accento musicale & Friends!
Chamber music in an idyllic setting above Lake Zurich:
The ensembles Accento musicale, DiVent and Kulturschock invite you to the legendary Whitsun Festival at Hof Rüteli 3 in Wangen-Nuolen.
If the weather is fine, they can also perform on the meadow below the lime trees, or in the winery's coach house in bad weather.
Chamber music in an idyllic location:
The ensembles Accento musicale, DiVent and Kulturschock invite you to the Whitsun Festival at the Rüteli farm in Wangen-Nuolen.
Where the birds whistle in the meadows and trees...: Anyone who loves classical (chamber) music of the most diverse provenance, varied programs and all this in an idyllic location will be in good hands again this year on the coming Whitsun weekend: At and together with the renowned Wangner Hof Clerc Bamert on the Rüteli, wonderful music can be heard in four concerts - between baroque, Mozart's opera "Cosi", late romanticism and modernism - under idyllic lime trees, but also in the Hof-Remise with a wonderful view of Lake Zurich.
Two large formations will perform, both as an octet: the Ausserschwyz wind ensemble DiVent and the chamber music association "Accento musicale" with a mixture of strings and winds. There will also be a second "Accento", four and five musicians with piano and works by the French "revolutionary composer" Bochsa, the Swiss composer Felix Weingartner and Penderecki. But it all starts on Whit Saturday with the iconic "Kulturschock" from Schwyz, who will be mixing up baroque, opera, tango and jazz with their new program!
The four concerts offer a broad and varied spectrum of well-known and lesser-known masterpieces - from Mozart's beautiful, annotated harmony version of his famous "Cosi fan tutte" and his "Dorfmusikanten-Sextett" for two horns and strings - with which he poked fun at other "dilettante" composers... - to works from late Romanticism and (moderate) modernism: such as the virtuoso piano quintet reminiscent of Richard Strauss, Mahler and Bruckner by the Austrian and later Basel "conductor of the century" Felix Weingartner, a work by whom was already performed last year, as well as the idiosyncratic suite ("Septett Nr. 2") from the film music for Charlie Chaplin's "The Circus" by GDR composer Hanns Eisler, as well as the epochal clarinet quartet by the Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki, who died in 2020
Well-known musicians from all over the canton of Schwyz and from Obersee will perform, including the Altendorf violinist Donat Nussbaumer and the young Schindellegler Anja Schärlinger, the Schwyz violinist and soprano Lydia Opilik, the Einsiedeln violist Lorenz Küchler and the Schwyz cellists Monika Greenwald and Severin Suter, the Siebner flautist Martin Huber, the Pfäffikon oboist Yoko Jinnai, the clarinettists Urs Bamert and Gabriel Schwyter, the bassoonists Roland Bamert and Katalin Cziegler, the horn players Sebastian Rauchenstein and Sebastian Kälin, as well as the virtuoso Accento pianist Eleonora Em. The "Kulturschock" mixes things up a bit, especially with original compositions!
The harmonious concerts are performed in idyllic evening and morning light - with a view over Lake Zurich, the vineyards and the Buechberg. At the end of each concert, the owner family Brigitte Bamert and Fredi Clerc serve an aperitif to get into conversation with the musicians! Before and after the concert, you can stroll through the vineyards and along the golf course, and the Golfpark Zürichsee restaurant on the golf course is happy to welcome guests for a tasty treat.
The three ensembles will be performing free of charge (appropriate collection) and, together with Hof Rüteli, cordially invite you to the "Kulturschock" on Saturday evening, June 7, 8 pm, and to the two matinées on Pentecost Sunday and Monday, June 8 and 9, 10:30 am. and June 9, 10.30 a.m. - Accento in quintet and octet respectively - as well as Mozart's famous opera harmony music "Cosi fan tutte" on Sunday at 5 p.m., Hof Rüteli 3, Wangen-Nuolen.
